We're down to the wire — less than a week before Election Day!! — and the races from Governor down to town councils are all competitive. Based on recent polling, Governor Phil Murphy's double-digit lead from this summer is down to the single digits, and we're starting to lose sleep over it. 

South Jersey is polling strongly for Jack Ciattarelli (what are they thinking?!?), so we've got to make the most of  North Jersey's blue voters by maximizing turnout. NJ 11th for Change has identified five towns where we REALLY need to get out the vote (and where getting out the vote can make a difference down-ballot, too) and we'd like your help. Can you canvass? SHOUT-OUT of the WEEK: LAUREN EBERSOL & HER HUSBAND!

Lauren Ebersol was already a super-volunteer: she wrote batches of both Young Voter and Early Voting postcards!! But then she got her husband involved, too, helping in a way we really needed assistance with. How, you ask? Cómo? He volunteered to be our text banking translator! When voters respond to our texts with questions in English about voting procedures, we do our best to answer. We even have a set of stock answers that volunteers can just click on, so the process is quick and easy. But what if the question is in Spanish? If the text banker isn't fluent in Spanish, we call upon Lauren's husband, who quickly and smoothly gets us the answer en español. We really appreciate his help — and so do our Spanish-speaking voters!
