Unchecked Power Vs. The Power of Us

Thanks to all of our members who joined us last Saturday night to make ❌👑NO KINGS rally signs while we watched the once-in-a-lifetime broadcast of “Good Night, and Good Luck” together! We are still thinking about George Clooney delivering that final monologue:

PRIMARY DAY IS TOMORROW!

We hope you have your voting plan, and that you’ve checked in with 10 friends and neighbors to make sure they have one as well! (Got questions about the voting process? You’ll probably find the answers here, at the state of New Jersey’s Voter Information Portal.)

Thank you to the six candidates who are vying to be the Democratic candidate. New Jersey is lucky to have such dedicated civil servants who are willing to fight for the opportunity to serve us. We wish them all luck.

Speaking of what you are prepared to do, the actions of the Trump administration are weighing on us, and we are sure on all of you as well. New Jersey’s state elections — the turnout in tomorrow’s primary, and the final result in November — will be a bellwether in terms of how we respond to the Trump attacks on our democracy.

But we can’t just wait until November to act. There are actions beyond voting that we need to take NOW.

Start by finding a ❌👑NO KINGS event this Saturday, June 14th!

NJ 11th for Change will be marching in Morristown. Please join us for an energetic and inspiring rally – and bring friends (you KNOW you know someone who has been hemming and hawing about getting involved. INVITE THEM!). The main event starts at 11:00 am; sign up here to let us know you’ll be there, and so we can send you any last-minute updates.

ALSO! At 10:00 am — an hour before the Morristown rally — NJ 11th for Change will be meeting up nearby for a Fridays without Freylinghuysen reunion! We’ll gather in front of Rodney’s old Schuyler Place office, and then march up to the rally together. We’ll have extra signs and fresh new NJ 11th for Change swag to share! And P.S., our friends from the Visibility Brigade will be leading the march with us! Register here so we know to expect you, and so we can share any updates.

Whether you were part of the original “FWF” crew, or you’re new to NJ 11th for Change, we’d love to see you on Schuyler Place to celebrate our grassroots legacy!

[Pssst! DID WE MENTION THE EXCITING NEW SWAG! Don’t miss out!]
