We’ll get right to it. This week and next, there’s a few events coming up where we hope we’ll see you!
First up is TODAY. Have you heard that ICE is opening up office space here in the heart of NJ 11th in Roseland? Yup. They are looking to rent space for 40 ICE lawyers right next to multiple daycare centers and other businesses that focus on vulnerable populations. This is not a safe place for ICE to operate. Join other folks tonight to discuss what we know and how we peacefully resist. If you can’t make it tonight but want information, drop a note to [email protected].
Next up: The NJ 11th for Change fundraiser, we mean PARTY, is next week! We have hit our fundraising goals. Now we just want to celebrate! Join us from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24 at the Montclair Women’s Club (82 Union St.) to raise a glass to all our hard work. If you want to make a donation, we are always grateful. And then it’s No Kings on Saturday, March 28th! There are thousands of No Kings events going on across America. We’ve got a bunch in New Jersey and we hope to see you out there. NJ 11th for Change will have a table at the Morristown No Kings. Stop by and get some swag!
Last but not least, here’s your essential reminder that it’s time to square away vote-by-mail ballots and early voting for the special general election! Election Day is Thursday, April 16. Have you sent in your ballot yet?
