The Power Of Us

As we’ve always said, the best way to combat that awful, sinking feeling you get watching the news is to get involved and start making change. And the organizing for 2025 has already started.

Read that again: The organizing for 2025 has already started.

Monday night, we joined over 160 grassroots activists from across New Jersey to discuss how we will exercise our power in 2025 and beyond. It was heartening to see so many of you on the zoom along with old and new friends from across the state. The zoom led by NJ  Indivisible laid out four roles for activists for next year:

  • Protect the vulnerable
  • Defend our civic institutions
  • Practice strategic disobedience
  • Build alternatives

Since the election, we’ve been saying how grateful we are for this community and its infrastructure and Monday was the first time we really saw that in action. We aren’t starting from scratch; we will fill the roles Indivisible is talking about. We have the network, we have the know-how, we have the reach, we still need the money (see below), and we have The Power of Us

2025 is coming and we’re going to be right here, rolling up our sleeves and getting ready to WORK.

First though, we are going to eat some cookies and wear fuzzy PJs and binge watch Elf. This will be our last newsletter of the year. Take the next few weeks to be with family and friends.  We know we’ve got some work in front of us so let’s rest up and come back with renewed determination. *

We wish you all a happy holiday season. At the top of our list this year is protecting democracy. Nothing shows how much you care more than a functioning government!  Why not gift your loved ones a donation to NJ 11th for Change? It’s the gift that keeps giving!

* Planning has already begun for 2025! Got ideas? Reach out! Ready to step up and do more? Reach out! What can you do? Reach out! NJ 11th for Change belongs to all of us and we want to know what you think!

Your generous donation goes towards our data analysis and voter-file access, text banking expenses, support for our events, printing, and much more. It allows us to continue our work building a government that is transparent, responsive and accountable. Please visit our "DONATE" link and pledge any amount.
