Tunnel-Obsessed Congresswoman:
Mikie stands with New Jersey commuters and proudly answers to the title of “Tunnel-Obsessed Congresswoman.” She’s fought long and hard to secure funding for the Gateway Project—yes, the very one that Trump’s team wants to deep-six. Gateway will build a vital new rail tunnel under the Hudson River, doubling train capacity between New Jersey and New York and creating thousands of jobs.
Mikie puts it plainly: “Health care should be a right.”
She remains committed to protecting the Affordable Care Act (ACA), including protections for people with pre-existing conditions, making sure New Jerseyans have access to affordable healthcare coverage.
Public schools champion:
Mikie believes in a strong future for our public schools, ensuring that New Jersey’s K-12 schools and educators receive the resources and funding that they need. She’ll be a vigorous advocate for New Jersey’s higher-education system too, defending our colleges and universities from federal attacks.
Moms Demand Action Gun Sense Candidate:
In Congress, Mikie has been a gun-sense champion, helping pass legislation to promote secure storage awareness and working to keep guns from the hands of domestic abusers. Our state has one of the lowest gun-death rates in the country and as governor, Mikie will work to build on our progress, not roll our protections back.
Protect reproductive rights:
Mikie says it loud and clear: “I strongly support enshrining the right to an abortion in New Jersey’s state constitution to permanently protect reproductive freedom.” She also supports measures like requiring comprehensive insurance coverage on all reproductive health care services and expanding access to contraception and IVF care. It’s all about making sure our state remains an essential first line of defense in protecting reproductive rights.
Day One plan to rein in New Jerseyans’ utility costs:
The challenge of soaring utility bills—Mikie gets it. Her Day One action plan will declare a state of emergency to freeze utility rates for New Jersey consumers. In addition to launching a massive initiative to build out cheaper and cleaner power generation, her plan requires more transparency on costs from our utility companies like PSE&G, JCP&L, Atlantic City Electric and Rockland Electric, as well as our grid operator PJM.
Hit the Road, Jack!
MAGA-To-The-Max Jack:
”I support the President wholeheartedly and my job is to help him.” If that means bye-bye to the long-awaited and absolutely vital Gateway Tunnel project, so be it.
High-Tax Jack: Even as New Jerseyans struggle to make ends meet, Cittarelli says that “every option is on the table” when it comes to putting the squeeze on New Jersey consumers, including a 10 percent sales tax. Oh, and Jack’s take on tariffs? No big deal, even though Trump’s tariffs will cost the average New Jersey family $2,400 a year.
Court-Packing Jack:
“Your next governor Jack Ciattarelli gets to appoint two new supreme court state justices, one of which is the chief justice. And we’re not just going with Republicans, we’re going with conservative Republicans on our state supreme court.” Yep. He said it.
DOGE-Dealing Jack:
Would he consider a DOGE-style operation to nose into essential state functions in New Jersey? “Absolutely.” He really said that too.
Sneaky Jack:
When asked straight-up if he supports an abortion ban, Jack waffles and double-negatives to high heaven, in order to soft-pedal the reality that yeah, he does. Spoiler alert: Calling it an “abortion limit” isn’t fooling anyone. Oh yes, and there’s those SIX TIMES he voted against restoring funding to Planned Parenthood. Sure, Jack.
Cut-Backs Jack:
Cittarelli is a huge fan of the One Big Beautiful Bill that’s raising medical, electricity, and mortgage costs for us and kicking thousands of NJ residents off their healthcare altogether. Under his rash MAGA-driven agenda, New Jersey families can expect mortgage costs to increase by $1000 a year and electricity bills by $200 a year.
Risky Business Jack:
Jack says “the Second Amendment is the Second Amendment” and argues that some of New Jersey’s red-flag gun safety laws have “gone too far.” He’s even voted against magazine capacity limits and background checks.
Stick-It-To-Our-Schools Jack:
Our public schools will be under siege if Jack gets his way. He supported Trump’s dismantling of the federal Department of Education, and has promised the same treatment for New Jersey’s Department of Education. He’s also a fan of draining money from public schools to hand it over to private schools via vouchers. On top of all that, Jack wants to eliminate 10% of the state’s education workforce.
