Talk to us!
Last week was frantic and in the end, beyond frustrating. Enraging, that’s the word we were looking for. Enraging. But we go on.
We've been in planning meetings with various partners all weekend and have events to share! National call to action April 5! The next NJ 11th for Change meetup! Not to mention the Governing New Jersey discussion with Attorney General Matt Platkin this Tuesday. You did sign up, right? If not, go do that now! Sign up here.
Talk to us! We have some questions we want you to answer:
First, what ONE question do you have for the candidates for governor? Our Facebook member group has submitted some extremely thoughtful questions, here’s your chance to send us yours.
Second, Leah Greenberg and Ezra Levin of Indivisible held an emergency group leaders call to discuss whether Indivisible National should call for Senator Chuck Schumer to step down from his minority leadership role. 90% of leaders on the call voted YES, including representatives from NJ 11th for Change.
Now we want to poll our membership. Should NJ 11th for Change also call for Schumer to step aside? We’ve had over 200 members vote on this question in our Facebook members group. Newsletter subscribers, now it’s your turn.
Answer both these questions using this form. We will share results for both sets of questions in the next newsletter.
Talk to us! Our next volunteer meeting will be Thursday, March 27th. Sign up here!
We need to hear from all of you! What kind of work do you think we should focus on between now and November? More importantly, what do YOU want to do?
SAVE THE DATE: April 5th is a National Day of Action. Rallies are being planned nationwide, watch this space for more information on where and when!
We stopped by the Sunday afternoon rally in Montclair today and saw lots of NJ 11th for Change members, including our good friends from Team Nutley! We got a free bracelet from Liz, checked out the free empanadas, and were so inspired by the energy of the crowd and the reaction of passing drivers and pedestrians. Every SUNDAY 3:00 - 4:00 pm at the corner of Bloomfield and Church in Montclair!
Finally, a reminder that only New Jersey and Virginia have statewide elections this year. We don’t need to tell you how important these elections are going to be as referendums on the Trump/Musk agenda.
We know this week might have some of you feeling powerless, but our state elections are the chance to show our power!
Mail in ballots go out starting April 25. Yes, that’s less than 6 weeks from now. GIrd your loins people, we have work to do.
