Run Through the Tape

Run through the tape. TWO FREAKING DAYS. Seriously, the best thing we can do is keep doing what we’ve been doing! We don’t mean doom scrolling. We mean CANVASSING! PHONE BANKING! TEXT BANKING! Checking on your friends and family and neighbors and making sure they have solid voting plans!

Gotta say, GOTV vote chasing is our favorite kind of canvassing! Knock on doors and your message is just, hey, we know you are a good voter, what is your plan to get to the polls? Do you know where to go? Can you bring a few friends and family members with you? The folks we talked to were grateful that we were there to help!

Our timelines were jam packed with photos and stories from the field! SO many people out knocking doors! And we still have two more days, we can’t let up now! Allow us to be your volunteer opportunity concierge!

May we suggest picking up a vote chase shift in CD 7?? The road to taking back the House actually runs through NJ, Sue Altman needs all the help we can give her. CD 11, we’ve done it once, we can do it again! So many of us turned out for Sue this weekend, and there are still plenty of canvassing shifts to fill today and tomorrow!

We also want to share a volunteer story from our friend Dani, who is the queen of text banking:

“I was on a text bank today. In 1.5 hours I sent 20,000 texts. There were 125 of us. in 1.5 hours we sent 1.9 million texts with links about where to find their polling locations.

The text campaign calculated how many texts were clicked on. 16% of the texts sent have people click the link to find their polling locations. So in 1.5 hours, we sent texts into most of the swing states, and 300,000 people clicked on the links to find their polling locations.

My texting total is now almost 70,000 messages this election season. THIS IS WHY I TEXTBANK.”
