Speaking of which, lazy hazy days of summer? Yeah, we long for the days when the biggest worry of the summer was whether our reliever’s arm would last to the post season. (Baseball is the best. And somehow the worst. But mostly the best.)
But rather than asking for more ice in our Aperol Spritz, we are doom scrolling and worrying about the state of our state, our country, our minds!
Following the incredible energy at the July 17 Good Trouble event in Morris Township (did you see Mara Novak and Laura Valente out there representing?!), we know a lot of you are again wondering what’s next. Well, read on because we have some ideas.
We know there will be more big rallies and protests in our future. But while we are waiting to see what is growing nationally (and there’s always something growing nationally), here in New Jersey we have a Governor’s race to win! We repeat — WE HAVE A GOVERNOR’S RACE TO WIN. No, we are not going to apologize for shouting.
The eyes of the nation will be on New Jersey and Virginia this fall. Bellwether? Yup, that’s us.
Remember 2018? Of course you do. That passion, that dedication, that energy? We need all that and more this year. Because there is NO WAY we’re going to let Trump-lovin’ MAGA Jack Ciattarelli take control of New Jersey!
The Sherrill campaign is gearing up and needs you to help. Want to canvass? Need points to talk to neighbors? Ready for some refresher talking points? Come to the August 21 NJ 11th for Change meet-up for all the info, all the inspiration. Our best line of defense against the current administration (ahem, regime) is maintaining our blue state trifecta — and that means electing Mikie Sherrill governor. No time to waste!
