The past week has been a LOT, we know: the kind of week that makes it hard to decide between raging out and hiding in bed.
But it’s Early Voting and GOTV time, too. And our best way to fight back is to send Analilia Mejia to Congress in the CD 11 special election on THURSDAY, APRIL 16TH!!
Early voting is open this weekend. Hours for early voting locations will be Monday - Saturday, 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. and Sunday, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. No appointment is necessary. Check out our Special Election Voter Guide for locations in your county.
This weekend is also prime GOTV time and there are canvassing shifts aplenty! So get your personal voting plan in place, then check out our events section and go knock some doors, pick up the phone, or send some texts. Canvassing is a guaranteed excellent way to connect with your neighbors, get out the vote, and meet cool dogs. A win win win.
Crucial as voting and canvassing are, they aren’t the only jobs on our to-do list right now.
ICE continues its invasive push into our communities. Their latest intrusion is a plan to open an office for 40 attorneys in Roseland, right next to several daycare centers. ICE isn’t a great neighbor for anyone, let alone little kids in daycare centers, and a group of concerned citizens is developing plans to resist this unsafe situation. This group will also be holding an ICE Out of Roseland Rally on Saturday, April 25 on the corner of Harrison Ave and Roseland Ave in Roseland. Bring your voice and your sign to peacefully demand ICE out of Roseland!
As we said earlier, we know it’s a lot right now. (And by “it” we mean everything.) But we also know that when it’s tempting to give up, NJ 11th for Change SHOWS UP.

Mail-in Ballots, NOW, NOW, NOW!
If you haven’t voted yet in the April 16, 2026 Congressional election–fill out your mail-in ballot and take it to your closest drop-box without delay! Remind your college students, remind your in-laws–get that voting done!
If you must use the US Mail for your ballot (absolutely no drop-box within reach) do it very soon, in case the mail is delayed for some reason.
If you already voted: Congratulations! You have done the most important job of a citizen, and still the easiest!
