Happy Monday! It was QUITE a weekend.
We feel compelled to share Mara Novak’s dream from last night:
I just want you all to know that last night I dreamt that the Sherrill campaign took over my entire house as a staging area for a massive rally, which I only found out about when I encountered Robert freaking DeNiro walking around my house trying to get to the backyard stage. I went outside and the campaign had also somehow built a huge sledding hill with artificial snow, and professional bobsledders and dirt bikers were doing tricks while racing down the hill. And then a staffer came by to offer me snacks and I woke up.
The real deal was even more amazing if at all possible—more on that later.
You all see that chicken, right?
FIFTEEN DAYS
Whether you took part in a No Kings rally this weekend in person or in spirit, we are willing to bet you came away with a great sense of energy, hope, and (most of all) URGENCY.
We must protect ALL the people of New Jersey. We MUST elect Mikie Sherrill as governor. And we MUST maintain our blue trifecta as a bulwark against the lawlessness of this administration!
Now is the time for you to take action. For the past few months, the campaign has been talking about "opportunities" to volunteer. But with fifteen days, barely TWO WEEKS left before Election Day, it's no longer about "opportunities" -- it's about NEEDS. Campaigns need volunteers knocking doors, and making calls. And they need it now: today, tomorrow, and every day from now through November 4.
If you've been telling yourself that you'd "do it later," there is no later. The time is now. And if you've been telling yourself that someone else would do it ... well, the responsibility belongs to each of us, as New Jerseyans who care about what happens to our children, to our neighbors, to our democracy.

NOTE: The campaign is only sending canvassers out to do GOTV -- Get Out The Vote. That means knocking on FRIENDLY doors, to remind them to vote, to convey the urgency, and to help them figure out logistics. You won't have to persuade your MAGA neighbor to change their mind, just nudge sympatico people to make a voting plan and DO IT!
What can we say about No Kings? The people of NJ 11th TURNED OUT. There were at least 10-12 thousand attendees in Morristown, and the same in Montclair! Plus thousands more in rallies across the district. As Morristown’s Public Safety Director Michael Corcoran Jr. put it in this fantastic article about Morristown No Kings, “Morristown’s crowd size, as estimated by town Public Safety Director Michael Corcoran Jr., was twice that of the first No Kings rally in June. Put another way, Saturday’s turnout was equivalent to about 40 percent of Morristown’s population–or standing room only at the Somerset Patriots minor league ballpark.”

Our Co-Executive Director Judy Kelly (who has not been dreaming about Robert DeNiro as far as we know) was interviewed by CBS News before the Morristown rally, and then spoke on behalf of NJ 11th for Change. Links to the interview and to her speech below. Did she get 10,000 people to chant “I LOVE AMERICA!”? You bet she did.

Meanwhile, in Essex County Laura Valente, NJ 11th for Change’s Communications Specialist, brought the fire in her speech to the crowd at the Montclair No Kings rally. Listen to Laura’s speech.

If they don't have one yet, help them. Tell them about Early Voting! Bug them to dig their VBM ballot out of their unread mail pile and get it to the drop box! Make sure they know all their options and have a solid plan!
Because with only fifteen days left, we need to do everything possible to Get Out The Vote.
