We are thrilled to announce that Parul Khemka will be joining the NJ 11th for Change Board of Directors, effective immediately.
Parul brings a new voice and a fresh vision to our organization. From her work in the AAPI community, to her advocacy on behalf of the disabled, and to her local leadership, Parul has proven herself a staunch ally and a relentless advocate. The NJ 11th for Change Board is so excited to have Parul on our side!

As Parul says, it’s time to get to work. We are weeks away from our third (!) election this year. Help our neighbors make their voting plans. And don’t forget your own! Mail-in ballots are out now–get them off your kitchen counter and down to your local drop box. For you in-person voting aficionados, early voting runs from Tuesday, May 26, 2026 – Sunday, May 31, 2026. Early voting polling locations will be open from 10 am to 8 pm Tuesday through Saturday, and from 10 am to 6 pm on Sunday. Find drop box, early voting and Election Day polling locations, as well as all other election info here!
We held our first in person phone bank for Analilia Mejia last week in Morristown. A number of folks were new to phone banking, but dove right in and got to work.
Watch for more NJ 11th for Change sponsored actions coming soon. In the meantime, the Mejia campaign is running canvassing, phone banking, and text banking ALL THE TIME. Check out the Events listings and sign up!
Now, a few words about elections and the statements they make.
You might be hearing that this NJ 11 thing is in the bag. That it doesn’t need our energy and our targeted focus. This thinking needs to be drop-kicked out the door, pronto and permanently.
We’ve never knocked it out of the park by assuming we’re running ten miles ahead; we’ve done that when we work as if we’re ten miles behind, no matter what. Because victory is great, of course, but big margins are even better. Big margins send big statements, from the top of the ballot right on down. And this year of all years is a year for big statements. This year, we no longer follow a party-anointed line. We are defining our own future with every vote on every line of our ballots.
This year, the overwhelming message is the goal. Victory so sweeping that no one can miss the point is the point. Make the point. Find an action, join in, get to work.
