In 31 days, New Jersey has a crucial assignment: to choose a leader who will stand as a bulwark against the rising tide of MAGA-fueled madness. The fight is here, and the terms are sharp and clear.
Option One: A governor who stands for decency, fairness, and the future!
Option Two: A governor intent on doing whatever the President Who Would Be A Dictator wants.
If it wasn’t already obvious that New Jersey is on MAGA’s to-do list, on Wednesday, Trump’s budget director came right at us when he bragged that $18 billion in NJ/NY infrastructure projects are officially on hold—including the crucial Gateway Tunnel project.
The reason? To “ensure funding is not flowing based on unconstitutional DEI principles.” That’s right. Trump’s DEI Derangement Syndrome is blocking a project that’s vital to New Jersey.
Mikie Sherrill’s response: “As governor, I will fight this tooth and nail and sue the Trump administration to finish this critical, job-creating infrastructure project.”
Jack’s response? Crickets.
Instead, Jack has promised to do whatever Trump likes. And that wouldn’t bode well for Gateway. Remind us why this project has taken so damn long anyway? Oh right! Because our *last* Trump-loving Republican governor CANCELLED it. We are NOT doing this again, thank you very much.
Need another reason for Option One?
Mom always said “You're known by the company you keep." At a Monmouth County fundraiser this week, Jack rubbed shoulders with folks who are chomping at the bit to kick vaccines and disease prevention to the curb. The ‘honored guest’ was Sherri J. Tenpenny, one of the nation’s top pushers of anti-vax disinformation, who once had a speaking tour in Australia cancelled when the Aussies made it clear they wanted no part of her dangerous propaganda. In Jack’s world, Sherri Tenpenny is an honored guest. That’s a telling comparison!

We have 31 days. 31 days to talk to our neighbors, friends, and family and make sure everyone we know is voting. 31 days to canvass, phone bank, or text bank.
