2020 Hernandez / Weiner Endorsement

NJ 11th for Change is proud to endorse Jeanette Hernandez and Joshua Weiner, who are seeking election to the Randolph Township Council.

“Fighting the moral cancer of systemic and institutionalized racism and prejudice in our society requires strong, direct, and consistent opposition from our leaders,” say Jeanette Hernandez and Joshua Weiner, two Democrats running for seats on Randolph’s all-Republican town council. Hernandez is a nurse and, if she wins, will be the first Latinx woman elected to office in Randolph. Weiner is a labor and employment attorney. Both have committed to fighting systemic racism and discrimination right at home. This includes, as council members, making sure that “the township’s boards and committees are adequately represented by those with disabilities, people of color, women, ethnic and cultural minorities, and the LGBTQ+ community.” Key to attaining this goal, they say, is to make Randolph’s highly partisan selection process for township advisory committees more equitable and transparent. Beyond this, Hernandez and Weiner will seek out creative business solutions to meet the needs of our changing economy and will work to eliminate waste and ensure that residents will get the best value for their tax dollars.

We are thrilled to support Hernandez and Weiner as they work their way to victory on November 3!
