We all know what can happen when a candidate doesn't get strenuous support from their biggest supporters. We all know how the morning after feels.

What more could constituents ask for?

But feeling lucky is a double-edged sword … because feeling lucky can very easily lead to feeling complacent. And from the looks of volunteer turnout for local campaigns and local grassroots efforts, that’s exactly what’s going on.

We're just all so hyped about canvassing this week!

This memory popped up for us from four years ago — from our very first round of canvassing for Mikie Sherrill, a million years ago in 2018. Back then, she wasn't "Congresswoman Sherrill" yet. She was just a Montclair mom with more moxie than most and a resume that made incumbent Rodney Frelinghuysen quake in his tassel loafers. But put those qualities together with a powerful team of canvassers, and you know what we got: a complete overhaul of CD11 congressional politics!

We're feeling the same positive energy from the hardworking canvassers who are showing up now — but we'll be honest: we need more of you to come out and knock doors. Mikie's campaign needs more of you, and so do other candidates we love, including Tom Malinowski, who has canvasses right around the corner from us in neighboring CD7.

IT'S TIME FOR ALL OF US TO VOLUNTEER!

In just one week, New Jersey county clerks will start sending mail-in ballots to voters who signed up for VBM, and in seven weeks, early in-person voting will begin.

We all know the brutal truth: We cannot afford to lose a single seat in Congress during this year's midterm elections. Because you know who's waiting for us to do just that? 

THIS JACKASS!

It's bad enough that's he's pitching a national abortion ban now, when his party doesn't control Congress. Graham is sending us a clear message: if and when he and his cronies DO take the House and the Senate, making abortion illegal from coast to coast will be their legislative priority. Forget their First Hundred Days; we bet Lindsey launches some new (worse!) iteration of this week's bombshell bill on Day 1 of a Republican-held congress. And it will pass.
